Bio- Your character's full name: Leroy Jethro Gibbs
- Your character's canon/what kind of canon it is: NCIS - TV
- The canonical point which your character is entering the Hotel California: mid season 4
- A description of your character's appearance: Tall, ruggedly handsome with silver/white hair and startling blue eyes. Usually clad in a white t-shirt under a button up shirt and slacks. Dark colours.
- A brief description of your character's history: Gibbs is an agent for NCIS -- he was previously a
marine sniper and served in Desert Storm. He has had several failed
marriages, including having an ex-wife take everything on the way out,
and has been assaulted by more than one of them. This was after his
first wife, and daughter, were killed by an assassin related to his
line of work, and it very nearly destroyed him. He has built by hand
several boats, burning more than one of them upon completion, and is
currently working on another in his basement. Not a great deal is
known about his past. He has worked at NCIS for over a decade and is
considered the best agent in the organisation. Gibbs has led his own
team for some time now, and he has lost one member in the line of duty
in the recent past, and nearly lost another shortly before that.
Though he attempted to retire after he failed to prevent a disaster
that included the deaths of an entire ship's crew, he was unable to
stay away and returned not too long afterward to resume his position.
- A brief description of their personality: Gibbs is, simply, a bastard. This is apparently agreed upon by most of
the people he has daily contact with, though in an affectionate way.
He is standoffish, a man of few words, and mostly disinterested in the
company of others. He prefers it when people get straight to the
point, and especially on the job, he has little patience for error or
lollygagging. Perfectionism is the name of the game on the job, and in
other areas of his life such as working on his boat, which he spends
nearly all his free time doing. After so many failed relationships,
he's decided that the only women he's interested in are the ones that
think the smell of sawdust is sexy. He is truly a good man, despite
his often sour disposition, and there are a few people in his life
that can really make him smile. He cares more than he allows himself
to show, though he will hold a grudge if the circumstances are right,
and he can be slow to forgive if he is truly hurt by something. Gibbs
is 100% dependable, and any who have his loyalty have it entirely. His
existence is quiet, and somewhat lonely, and this is one of the main
reasons for his gruffness. Once someone gets to know him, though,
there really is no one else like him.
